From what I’ve read, the Coton sounds terrific.
Any chance of finding a pet-quality Coton?

Carol, It was a pleasure speaking with you yesterday. FYI,
I was so excited that I already mailed you our deposit - so
look for it in the mail. As I mentioned, I’m having some
trouble with my computer; but I’m at my in-laws until
Saturday and you can Email me here until then. After
talking to my husband, Adam, we decided that we really only
want a boy puppy. If need be we will wait, which may be
hard since my two children are extremely excited. I did
have a few more questions, some of which your wonderful web
page answered. Temperament testing, any known health
problems and grooming requirements. I’ll call you some time
next week. Thank you for all the time you spent with me
yesterday. I look forward to talking with you again!

Cute dogs! We are currently dog shopping.
We want a stable freindly dog to be part of the family.
We have a two year old, so need one that will be gently, yet
alert to threats. Not agressive, just able to communicate and intelligent.
Any info you have will be appreciated. We cannot spend alot on a dog,
however, we will give one a very good home.
We would be interested in rescueing a dog.
Thanks.

Hello! My name is James Rogers, and I am searching for moreinformation on the Coton de Tulear. I am trying to replacemy wife's toy poodle. My requirements are simple: 1) Musthave a white coat, 2) Good personality and energetic, butnot a ‘yapper', 3) Willing to be part of the family, 4) Nota shedder, 4) Small and short - 12 inches tall and between 10-15 pounds and 5) We both work - so willing to stay alonefor up to 8 hours a day.The two other breeds I am considering are the Bolognese andthe Westie. How does the Coton match up to these breeds? What should I expect to pay? I have never owned a dog from a breeder, and I really don't know what else to ask...Thank you for your information. I saw a Coton puppy today and it was so cute I had to ask
the owner all about her. She told me a little bit about the puppy,
but I am interested to know more. My aunt is 83 and loves dogs.
We all say we want to die and come back as one of her dogs.
She likes small dogs, one that is easy to train and doesn't bark a lot.
Would this dog be a good companion for her?
What would she be looking at in terms of cost?

I have absolutely fallen in love with these dogs.
I would love to own one, but I am afraid to ask the price.
My husband and I have a standard poodle -- a wonderful dog --
but she and I have a problem. She was spayed early and has
never shown any interest in babies until the last two years.
When she sees puppies at the groomers', or in fact, anywhere
else, she makes little purring noises deep in her throat and
moves her paws caressingly. When she gets back home she
immediately gets her teddy bear and pulls it up to her breastbone,
making the same little noises. Then she puts her head on her
bear and sleeps, occasionally purring. I read her message loud
and clear. I, too want a baby -- The cotons are the loveliest dogs
I have ever seen. Even if we can never own one, I am so grateful
for your wonderful Website and will visit it often.
Thank you and hug the babies for Penny and me.

Are there any in the Memphis area that you know of?
Much to my dismay, I haven't found many "dog people"

Dear Tara, Exceptional website! Loved it
I am a potential Coton owner. I have been studying which
breed of dog I would like to have for about a year. I know
I want a female, small dog, hig hly intelligent, lapdog, that
likes to play - (I know, an oxymoron) That enjoys being
pampered, groomed and totally adored. My two children
are 17 and 14 and I have come to the conclusion that I need
a new baby for me to fuss over. - -I am totally in the dark
about price range of a breedable female with of course the
sweetest disposition and no physical diseases/disorders.
Would you mind sharing with me the range - - so I may plan
accordingly. Also, I have never seen one in person is there
a way I could find a breeder that I could visit?
Have a great afternoon,
Renee

My daughter has wanted a puppy for a long time. She is a sweet nine year old who's two older brothers don't have too much time to play with her. I have resisted buying a dog when my sons were little; but now that she is the last and has no younger sibbling to play with, I am getting weaker. My requirements are to find a dog that does not shed or smell yucky. There's nothing worse than going into someone's house and smelling DOG !! A friend suggested the Coton and your home page looks very interesting. I'd like to learn alot more. Not sure the Coton will be in my price range, but the Coton is the cutest dog I've ever seen. Please forward information such as price range, and process for ordering, how long it takes to get one. etc.etc.etc is it a good dog for children? Thanks Nancy Allen

I was browsing through my "Dogs in Canada" annual and fell in love! I couldn't wait to get my hands on my husbands laptop to find out more! I would really appreciate your advice on the breed. We would like to adopt a pup/dog who is small to medium in size, affectionate, and not territorial(not prone to excessive barking). We love to take long walks, gardening and relaxing in our spare time. Our cul de sac has lots of young children and we have frequent visits from our stepchildren. We have a little boss of our own!,named jessie(a three year old female sheltie). So,do you think a Coton would be content with our homestyle?
